Zia Quizon has become one of the most talented, young performers on the charts today because of her self-titled debut album released in October 2011. On her way to the album’s second single, our 20-year sultry singer is so excited with her latest single called DEAR LONELY. The single released on radio in January 2012 is now gaining its momentum and the music video directed by Nani Naguit has already been launched on MYX. Following the success of the first single entitled “Ako Na Lang” which marked eight weeks on top ten radio charts and MYX charts in 2011, she’s now ready to repeat the process.
Recently, Zia Quizon was also announced as MYX Music Awards 2012’s nominee for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite New Artist and Favorite Song for “Ako Na Lang Sana”. While doing series of mall show in the coming months, Zia Quizon is a featured artist in ABS-CBN’s “ASAP Rocks’ Acoustic Republic” segment every Sunday afternoon.
After the band BAMBOO broke up in 2011, Bamboo Manalac returned with the highly-anticipated solo album called NO WATER, NO MOON in November 2011. Bamboo composed and produced an album that is easily accessible to music fans across rock, jazz and pop boundaries which contains 12 tracks featuring the first single “Questions.” Now on the album’s second single SPIN– a true alt-pop masterpiece, with the perfect radio-ready blend—already set to blew listeners away with Bamboo’s trademark voice.
While Bamboo is gaining more praises from his solo feat, the album is consistent on top 5 sales charts in AstroPlus and Odyssey. Bamboo is also nominated at the MYX Music Awards for Favorite Male Artist. While he’s busy doing his promo of his debut album, Bamboo is now part of ABS-CBN’s top-rating musical variety show, ASAP 2012 where he’ll be sharing the stage with ASAP mainstays. Slapshock, the country’s most successful rap-metal band, recently released their 15th anniversary album called KINSE KALIBRE featuring the spin-off single NGAYON NA. KINSE KALIBRE is the band’s seventh album since they debuted in 1997. In March 2012, Polyeast Records will also be releasing a 15-year-boxset which will include memorabilia of the band’s journey from their debut and beyond. At the MYX Music Awards, Slapshock is also nominated for Favorite Group and Favorite Rock Video for “Ngayon Na.”
The country’s R&B princess KYLA also just released her fourth single of the latest album PRIVATE AFFAIR (2010) entitled DAGLI NA LANG composed by Kiko Salazar. Kiko also wrote the the album’s first single MAHAL KITA (DI MO PANSIN) and also gained an impressive response from the listeners. Kyla was also a featured artist in Indonesian R&B artist Joeniar Arief’s new album Melayang Tinggi which became a big hit on radio stations all over Indonesia. In the Philippines, MYX Music Awards hailed Kyla as a nominee for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite MYX Live Performance.
Other Polyeast artists who made it at the MYX Music Awards nominations are Sandwich’s “Pera Pera” as Favorite Music Video and Favorite Rock Video; Champ Lui-Pio’s “Sari-saring Kuwento” featuring Gloc-9 and Noel Cabangon for Favorite Collaboration; Kim Hyung Joong’s “Breakdown” for Favorite K-Pop Video; and Katy Perry for Favorite International Video for the hit single “Firework” . For Polyeast Records new album releases this year, Martin Nievera releases his new cd of chart hits called MGA AWIT AT DAMDAMIN. The new album is a sequel of the Gold Record award HIMIG NG DAMDAMIN, consists of OPM’s most favourite love songs rendered by the concert king himself.
Martin Nievera’s son ROBIN NIEVERA will also be joining Polyeast Records’ roster of artists as he will be releasing his debut album in the next few months. Robin Nievera, another budding rock blues musician is paving his own name in the industry with the single IN 3’S which is now gearing up to heat the airwaves. Robin Nievera, like his father, also wrote and produced several promising tracks that will definitely strike a familiar chord with fans of John Mayer or Jason Mraz.
Adding up with OPM’s most-awaited albums this year, Divine Diva ZsaZsa Padilla will also do a follow up of her UNCHANGING LOVE under Polyeast Records which also reached gold record award producing the songs HANGGANG and IIBIGIN KANG MULI. Aside from being a host and actress, Nikki Gil will also be hitting the studios with her third album soon released by Polyeast Records.
